Bitcoin Scholarship Rules

 

Dear Contestant,

Please follow these steps:

  • Select one or more images from the originals below (copyright: Eli Potter) as inspiration.
    1. You must use the image of the coins on the far right below. Imagine the coins are Bitcoin, but you can touch them.
  • Select a genre for a novel
  • Choose a main character and supporting characters (you are welcome to create characters of your own, and make the characters in the image(s) either protagonists or antagonists)
  • Write a LOG line
  • Write a PLOT for a novel filling out the template below. (The novel does not have to be written already!) Do not submit more than 2500 words for the entire submission.

The winner will be awarded a full scholarship, based on:

  • Following the instructions (Please feel free to contact me with clarifying questions at [email protected])
  • Coming up with a creative plot, full of conflict and difficult choices, no more than 2500 words.

One winner will be selected and awarded a full registration to the SFWC 2020 conference. The full scholarship covers the conference (classes, workshops, 3 breakfasts, awards luncheon, editorial consult, and social events.) It does not include travel, accommodations, optional paid master classes or incidentals. There is no cash value. If the winner is already registered for the 2020 San Francisco Writers Conference, they can use the scholarship for the 2021 San Francisco Writers Conference or gift it to someone else.
