NEW at SFWC19: Agent Conversations!
We always listen to our attendees and this year we’re expanding on a trial program we began at last year’s San Francisco Writers Conference–one that attendees were overwhelmingly happy with.
Agent Conversations is the ability to sign up online for a guaranteed one-on-one 15-minute conversation with a literary agent. The cost is $100 and 50% of the money goes to support the San Francisco Writers Foundation 501c3 charitable efforts throughout the year.
If you have registered for the writers conference (since Agent Conversations are only available to registered attendees), our registration guru Richard Santos will now walk you through how to reserve this one-on-one private time with the Agent of your Dreams:

After clicking on the link – https://sfwriters.setmore.com/ – you will be taken to the Agent Conversations page. From here you have a few choices. If you already know which agent you want to make an appointment with, click on the Agent Consultation link mid-page. Up pops the list of participating agents, click on the agent of your choice, choose a day and time that works for you. You have 6 minutes to complete your appointment!
From here you may start a profile with us or go to the bottom of that field and click “skip login process”. Next fill in your personal information and click continue. This next window asks for your credit card information, fill that in and click “pay and book appointment” That’s all there is!
If you have not made up your mind who you would like to speak with, click “Staff Members” on the left side of the page. Here you will find helpful information on each of the agents. Once you have made your choice follow the instructions above.
The Agent Conversations will take place at the Hyatt Regency Embarcadero’s Market Street Foyer on the bottom ballroom level. Please arrive 5 minutes before your appointment to check in. You will receive an emailed reminder 20 minutes before your scheduled appointment.
Since there a limited number of time slots we ask that you only book one appointment prior to the start of the conference. If any appointments remain unbooked when the conference begins, we will allow you to book more Agent Conversations on site.
