Photos from Belize, please…It seems as if Joey Garcia was just on a panel with me at the SFWC. But she is now in her home country putting on the inaugural Belize Writers Conference. She promises to meet up and tell me all about it when she returns.
John Lescroart is one popular speaker…Margie Webb tells us the venue for the upcoming Gold Country Writers meeting on May 18th had to be moved to the Auburn City Hall. Seems the usual meeting hall couldn’t accommodate all of John’s fans! See the listing in the Calendar of Events.
Advice from the experts…They both had lots to share at the 2019 SFWC and now Nina Amir and Jane Friedman are both featured in an article in The Writer about turning blog posts into a book. Well, Nina has written on book on that subject! See the article HERE.
Just how big is a publishing house? Penguin and Random House merged in 2013, but it took until January for them to both be under one roof in NYC. There are now about 2,000 employees now located at 1745 Broadway! READ ABOUT the move.
